Date & Banana Breakfast Smoothie
Some mornings, a healthy breakfast doesn’t seem like a possibility. But with our quick and simple, Date & Banana Breakfast Smoothie, you can get a boost of nutrition on your way out the door to school drop off.
An all natural, energy boost that’s faster to make than a cup of pour over and will keep you satisfied through all three rounds of morning meetings.
3 Medjool Dates, pitted
1 frozen banana (we like to toss peeled, over-ripe bananas into a freezer bag and have them ready for smoothies)
1 cup almond milk or oat milk
1 T chia seeds
Pinch of cinnamon
Pinch of turmeric
After removing pits from dates, put all ingredients into blender and blend until smoothie.
If you do not have frozen bananas, add ½ cup ice cubes before blending.
Pour into a glass and enjoy.
Sprinkle with a little more cinnamon if you would like before high-fiving yourself for not skipping breakfast.
